Our fine dinamic trio was at it again yesterday! Great presentation to the parents about what kids will be able to do in our magnet. I am so excited to try all, well not all, but some of the great ideas shown yesterday. I am confident that I WILL LEARN!!!

Hi Laurie,
Very impressive Inspiration lesson! I pulled it off of your iDisk. I am thinking that only those with .mac accounts have access to this. Am I mistaken?

It's really thought-provoking isn't it? I'd forgotten about the space odyssey movie . . .

It took a while to adapt :0) The trickiest part for media like this is finding a way to share it efficiently - someone, sometime soon will think of a way to share large media files like this slideshow/movie without chopping it to pieces.

Thanks,
Laurie

WOW! Now I am feeling old and obsolete. I worry about how we are supposed to keep up with kids who are sooooo technological savvy.
What was the movie, 2001 space odyssey? It could come true.
Be nice to Hal.
How long did it take you to adapt this?
Good job.

Ok Carrie--you are doing so well. You can't know everything right away.
On Word--just highlight the text--go to print--and click "Print selection". It works the same way as it does on a PC.

The internet is a little less intuitive. Here is what I have figured out.
When on the internet:
1. Highlight wanted text
2.Click "Safari" on the tool bar
3. Then click "Services"
4. Click on "Text Edit"
5. Click "New Window Containing Selection"

What will happen is the highlighted text will be turned immediately into its own document that can then be printed.

I hope that helps!

Hi Laurie and anyone else:)
I don't have much to say other than I'm SLOWLY learning new things. Yesterday I was with my husband's aunt and she just got a macbook and had all sorts of questions. I was able to answer a few, we figured some out together, and there were a few I didn't know. It was exciting to know that I could actually help someone else with a computer issue!!!! One of her questions is something I was wondering too. With out Macs do we have the capability to highlight text (either on the internet or in a word document) and print only the selected text? We tried and tried and could not figure it out. Apparently this is something PC users can do very easily.

Hi Laurie,

Thanks for sharing these resources. One question, however...Jennifer talks about a Kidspiration Template above...is it posted somewhere else? Sounds very cool!
